week 3 in the field

This week was a long and weird week. a lot of our appointments fell through. besides that we had a few miracles.

a couple of Saturdays ago, we knocked in the native reserve. we found a really nice man who told us to come back. on Saturday we went to visit hi. he only had 10 minutes to spare so we shared a bit of the restoration. Since we had a bit of time left over, we decided to pass by a woman who lives across the road from the Guy. We bumped into her last week, but she told us to come back another time because she was ill. Sister Limburg and Perkins made me knock on the door. As soon as she opened the door, she let us in. she told us that it was the 20th anniversary of her mothers death. She was a bit sad. We spoke to her about what we believe about families and it cheered her up. She was super nice. we set up a return appointment for next week. She is excited to see us again.

Yesterday after church during our correlation meeting, a brother walks in and says there is an investigator in the church. she walks into our meeting so the sisters and I decided to give her a tour of the chapel. we speak with her for a bit. Her friend from Sherbrooke has been telling her about the Church for 3 years, but that morning she woke up and decided to check it out. she is super nice and want to learn more about the church.

we visited the cracker lady again...this time we made sure we provided the snacks.

This week there was freezing ice so the parking lot was an ice rink. it was also extremely windy that day too. as we was driving, a man was sliding down his driveway because of the wind. he started to panic as the wind blew him towards our moving vehicle. He could not stop because of the wind. the look on his face was priceless. I thought his eyes were going to pop out of his head. his mouth was open and he was waving his hand around like a crazy man.   Luckily we were able to avoid him.
